Frequently Asked Questions

These are some frequently asked questions.  I will be happy to answer all emails but please do check to see if your question is already addressed here.

Nearly 80% of the emails (and half of those are about the videos) I receive are questions that I already answered here.  If you do that - I am likely not to answer you.  I simply don't have time.

Question:  I submitted something and it still isn't on the site.  Do I need to re-submit it?
Answer:  No.  Either I haven't had time to put it up or else it isn't getting used.

Question:  I sent you an email, and then another, then another... you still haven't answered me.  Are you being a bitch?
Answer:  Yeah.. maybe.  Depends.  I have lots of things to do around Capsule Corp.  I dont always have time to just handle emails.  I assure you I have read it... it just depends on if I thought it needed an answer or if I even had time to answer.

Question:  How did you decide not to put 18 on the Enemies list, but instead on the Ladies list?
Answer:  She is a lady isn’t she?  Besides, 18 didn’t stay evil in this timeline forever.

Question: Oh no!  Where are the wav's?!
Answer:  I have them down for now.  I may add them back later, but for now - they are down off the site.

Question:  You say BOAS was copyrighted in 1999/2003 but the name wasn't registered until 2003 when the official site launch happened.  I'm so confused!
Answer:  I can see how that's a bit confusing.  Basically back in 1999 I started a website on a free host and it was named something else.  In 2002 the site was shut down (the host site crashed and burned, my site was destroyed) and I began to rebuild.  On March 31, 2003 I launched the new site (with old content I saved on disk thank Kami, and added some new content).  The new site now had an official URL and title.  I count BOAS by the 2003 birthday, but technically my site was around farther back than that and I have carried some of the same components with me through the entire time.  Therefore, I have 2 copyrights.

Question:  Do you make enough money off this site to retire like the YouTube guys?
Answer:  This site is 100% ad free to you.  That means in order to host as much files as I do – I actually have to pay someone every single month.  Yes that's right folks, I pay out of my hard earned money every month to bring you this wonderful site.

Question:  This banner seems very familiar.  Wasn't it the same banner you used in version 2.0 back in 2004?
Answer:  Yes it is!  What a great memory you have.  I like the simplicity of the banner and I wanted to get back to blue so I decided why not?  It was designed by keute_ness out of the kindness of her heart.  Honestly she was so awesome she just randomly made me a layout and sent it to me.  Now that's a fan!

Question:  What does the Z in Dragonball Z stand for?
Answer:  The Z in Dragon Ball Z is for "Zen" which was basically supposed to be the end of the series.

Question:  What does GT stand for in Dragon Ball GT?
Answer: GT stands for Grand Tour.

Question: Where can I find the awesome vids I heard you made?
Answer: Aaawww, thanks for asking! A lot of my vids are on the site for downloading.  Also I have an account on YouTube (user name Mistressbulma427) and have some of them there along with some of my Final Fantasy vids.  I also have some on Kazaa.  The artist name is Bulma427.

Question:  I wanna make vids too!  Can you teach me how?
Answer:  Nope.  Sorry kid but I just don't have time.  I mean lets be honest – you live there, I live here.  How can I teach you?  And before you bother to say I can type out instructions, let me remind you that your video maker should have instructions already.  I taught myself, you can do the same.

Question: Who does the voice of Vegeta?
Answer: In America (the Funimation versions) Brian Drummond (eps 1-53) and Christopher Sabat for the rest. Personally Chris Sabat is my fav!

Question: I heard a rumor of a Dragon Ball AF - is this true?
Answer:
No, the Dragon Ball sagas ended after GT.

Comment: I noticed the animated movies seem to be a little off with their facts.
Answer:  YES, this is true. The timelines are all wrong. You can try to guesstimate where they fit into the series but you will never make it fit completely.  And even if you did… a lot of the facts are off.

Question:  Did Vegeta actually have brown hair in the space pod on his way to earth?
Answer:  YES!  This was an error by the animators.

Question:
How many times did The Prince of all Saiyans die?
Answer:  3 - the FIRST time was by Freiza (I still cry every time I see the scene where he is talking about his child hood to Kakarott and we get to hear his pain in life and we begin to understand) - the SECOND time was in the Future/Alternate timeline when Android 17 killed him - the THIRD time was when he sacrificed himself to save the world against Buu (again, an episode that brings me to tears).

Question:  I can't find your Fan Art on layout version 5.5.
Answer:
You're right.  You can't.  Sadly people have begun to make ridiculous amounts of noise about fan art.  When this site was started well over 5 years ago, I contacted many of the artists I hosted here, (Gwendy, Sondra Blockman, Hollyberry, Plastic Trunks, Lilibell) etc, and I had permission to host their pics.  Over time I had some other artists actually approach me and ask me if I would put their work up (Jay, Great SaiyanmanGohan, Hajime, Amanda, Riffy, Puar, Jordan, SaiyanAnna, Miu).  I was glad to do so.  However, times change.  Now that there are free hosting places for artists to host their own work, it has become a major outrage to many artists (not all of them, but a good portion in my experience) to see their work elsewhere.  Now to my good fortune, nobody who has granted me permission has ever come back to me about it with negative reactions, as Gwendy once told me – she was glad to have her work out there.  But in these circles of other artists I have actually been accused of stealing work and taking credit for it.  How that's possible with the name of the artist right there and my clear disclaimer that I did NOT draw the art, I do not know. Or on the page of unknown artists where I clearly stated the work was beautiful but unknown to me – I asked for anyone who could identify the artist to please let me know so I could properly label it. (How that can be called stealing work for my own credit still boggles my mind.) But I have made the decision that rather than be flamed by petty people I will not be hosting any fan art at all.  Basically the law of Fair Use is being ignored in this case and I grow tired of fighting people in order to keep my good name.  It simply isn't worth it.  This saddens me since I clearly have permission of so many artists, yet other artists choose to make issue of me "stealing" art.  Tisk tisk what society has come to.  I respect their rights to protecting their works and had I claimed to have drawn said work, then they would be 100% right.  But in a situation where I make no profit nor do I gain anything at all.. I can’t see the big deal. I don’t draw but I do other forms of art.  I find it rather flattering to find my work on other sites, as long as they don’t lay claim as the originator. I rather find it pleasing to know someone liked my work so much that they believe others will benefit from the exposure as well.  Hm, I suppose I'm overly ideal.  So sue me.
